As an introduction to animation we started with a bit of animation history, the 12 principles of animation and basic flick book. I learnt something interesting among other things, how to control frame by frame speed and this flick book was a small experiment with it.

Although its probably not the best example, I have experimented with speed. The closer the frames are from the last one gives a slow movement and to make the image move faster you draw the frames a lot further apart from the previous one. It didn’t work brilliantly, the distinction of the faster movement isn’t very clear but I think the sequence is effective.

Found a great video of a flick book on YouTube.
