While I was painting the textures on in Mudbox I came across some areas that wouldn’t paint over.

There were a few of these but i quickly recognised it as problem areas in the UV mapping. It was simple to correct by sending the mesh back to Maya, tweaking the UV’s and sending it back to Mudbox, where they painted over fine. It is still an area i still need to work on, even thought I have done several UV’s now, I think I need more practice with complex UV organic mapping. I seem to find hard sUrface UV mapping much easier, perhaps because of the lack or contours and uneven edges.
